What inspired you to become a Water Sommelier?

It was my desire to have a deeper awareness of water for myself and also to be able to share this awareness with a wider audience.

What is your superpower?

Verbal communication (...works better with moistened lips).

Can you share a memorable experience you've had as a Water Sommelier?

With every course, presentation or training day, I get to experience new things and meet exciting people who are interested in water.

Still or Sparkling?

Still

Low or high TDS?

Low TDS

Salty or sweet?

Sweet

What is your favorite water and why?

Harmonious mineralization, slightly sweet, great mineral water for everyday use.

Please finish the sentence: Water for me is...

an elixir of life, a source of energy and the least appreciated beverage. I spend my free time on and in the water.

What do you believe is the future of the Water Sommelier profession?

Working as a consultant, a nutritional physiologist and an ambassador for food pairing.

How do you think valuing water contributes to a more sustainable future?

Reduce consumption, use more consciously and appreciate.

What else would you like to share with the community?

Water has a taste when different sensory perceptions can be identified and described.

I see myself as an ambassador for mineral water.

Adrian, thank you for the interview!

Best regards

Timo Bausch
