Dear Parents,
As we all know, our bodies are about 75 percent water. In order for us to feel good and for our bodies to function properly, it is important that our water supply is always in balance. When we drink too little, we often feel it sooner than we would like:
☞ Tiredness,
☞ headaches, and
☞ lack of concentration
are just some of the unpleasant side effects of dehydration.
Unfortunately, many adults fail to drink enough water throughout the day. There are many reasons for this, from forgetting to lack of time to stress.
What applies to us adults also applies to our children. They need to drink enough water regularly to stay healthy and fit. Studies have shown that well hydrated children are more alert and attentive at school and often perform better*, while dehydration can lead to fatigue and poor concentration. Another study by the Robert Koch Institute shows that 49 percent of girls between the ages of 6 and 11 drink too little. For boys, the figure is 33 percent.**
As adults, it is often difficult to change old habits and develop new routines. This makes it all the more important that children learn to drink water regularly at an early age - as naturally as brushing their teeth every day.
There are several ways to introduce children to drinking water in a fun way, such as the Tom Tropfen coloring book or the Tom Tropfen drinking planner (both available on Amazon). For those who want to try the coloring book first, there are now free coloring pages available. Not only are they a great way to pass the time at home, on the road, or for birthdays, but they also help your children discover the benefits of drinking water in a creative way. To start, there are free coloring pages featuring five characters: Tom Tropfen, Adrian, Sam, Mia and Zucki.
Where can I find the free coloring pages?
In the online store. Just add them to your cart, go to checkout, download and print.
Have fun exploring and coloring together!
Best regards

About Timo Bausch
My fascination with mineral waters began in 2016 during my training as a Water Sommelier. Since then, I have been exploring the characteristics and diversity of water. In addition to pairing water with food, wine, coffee and other beverages, I offer the creation of water menus for restaurants and hotels. Furthermore, it is also important to me to draw attention to the importance of drinking water.
