What inspired you to become a Water Sommelier?
After starting my business and working with other water sommeliers, it was inevitable that I would eventually have to train myself to make more of my passion for water.
For me, water is the epitome of life and, as an essential asset for all beings, the link that binds everything together.
What is your superpower?
I think my permanent thinking around the corner.
Can you share a memorable experience you've had as a Water Sommelier?
There have probably been some memorable experiences that have accompanied me along the way. At the many water tastings I have hosted, the feedback has been truly remarkable. But the most extraordinary was being invited to be a judge at the Fine Water Summit in Athens in 2023.
I was always a bit skeptical before. But it was really remarkable to taste well over 100 waters in less than 90 minutes, and also to drink waters for the first time that I had been waiting for half my life.

What is your favorite water and why?
My favorite water is definitely AqaFinelli. The reason is obvious, I have developed and conceived this water over the years and I am quite proud to have launched a water specially adapted for fine dining.
Please finish the sentence: Water for me is...
the true wonder of the world.
What do you believe is the future of the Water Sommelier profession?
I believe that the importance of water will increase significantly in the future and that the profession will take on a whole new quality.
How do you think valuing water contributes to a more sustainable future?
I'm pretty sure that not only will the importance of water increase, but that the true value of water, its quality and goodness, will be completely reclassified. There are signs of this everywhere, and the sneering water sommeliers are nearing their deserved end. The joke about Water Sommeliers is coming to a well-deserved end.
What else would you like to share with the community?
Every day I am happy to see that the community of Water Sommeliers is growing. It gives me great pleasure to see us networking and working together more and more to carry the message and our attitude.
Water is a human right. Access to clean and safe drinking water must be a human right.
Pat, thank you for the interview!
Best regards
